PowerPlan Establishes Presence in Canada

Industry leader expands in Canada to enhance client relations and to capitalize

Atlanta, GA and Toronto (February 29, 2012) PowerPlan, the leading provider of project, asset accounting, tax, budgeting and analytic solutions for asset-intensive businesses, today announced its expansion into Canada. Michelle Madsen, formerly a member of the BC Hydro finance team, will serve as vice president of Canadian Industry Solutions and will be responsible for all market strategy and solutions within Canada.

Madsen brings more than 16 years of utility finance experience to the PowerPlan team. At BC Hydro, she served in senior roles including regulatory, budgeting, tax, accounting standards and operational accounting. In addition, Madsen brings a client focus and knowledge of multiple industries from positions held with Ernst & Young.

Madsen will be joined by industry veteran Bob McFadden. McFadden brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software including development, support and sales, with extensive background in the mining and utility industries. Prior to joining PowerPlan, he held executive positions at Axon, Mincom and Ventyx. McFadden will have responsibility for PowerPlan's growth in the Canadian market and the mining industry.
