Lee Watkins

Chief Strategy Officer

As a strategic visionary and seasoned leader, Lee Watkins plays a crucial role in shaping and executing PowerPlan’s long-term strategies, driving growth and spearheading innovative approaches to propel the company forward. With 30 years’ experience in energy and utilities, Lee has held notable positions at NextEra Energy, Southern Company, and Black Hills Energy, where she led regulated accounting and tax teams leveraging PowerPlan software.  Additionally, Lee advised investor-owned utilities while at Deloitte and EY. Her forward-thinking approach and deep industry expertise make her a valuable addition to PowerPlan’s executive team.

Lee is a Certified Public Accountant and was born and raised in Alabama. She and her husband Alan live in Georgia, and they have two grown sons. When she’s not in the office, Lee and Alan enjoy spending time outdoors, watching college football and exploring new restaurants. She is also an avid runner and has completed many marathons.
