PowerPlan Presents Customer Awards at ELEVATE 2025 Annual User Conference
ATLANTA — April 12, 2025 — PowerPlan, Inc., a leading provider of financial software solutions for the energy industry, recently concluded its ELEVATE 2025 user conference in Atlanta. The event brought together accounting, tax, and IT professionals from the utilities industry to network and share ideas. With over 70 sessions, ELEVATE focused on best practices, training, product demonstrations, customer case studies, and thought leadership.
ELEVATE 2025’s March 24 General Session featured an award ceremony honoring PowerPlan customers for outstanding business results, transformative processes, innovative solutions, and significant contributions to product advancements. Five awards were presented, with winners in the following categories:
Innovation Award: Entergy
This year’s Innovation Award honored Entergy for their long-term partnership in developing the full functionality of PowerPlan’s Tax Provision product. Their advocacy and engagement were instrumental in ensuring that the Tax Basis Balance Sheet functionality meets industry needs. Entergy continues to innovate with Tax Provision NXT, informing critical features such as integration, payable account reconciliations, and the management of tax records.
Customer Achievement Award: Liberty Utilities
Liberty Utilities was recognized with the Customer Achievement Award for successfully completing a five-year ERP Transformation program. They implemented an integrated SAP S/4 and PowerPlan solution in the cloud, fully integrating over 160 entities. The resulting cohesive IT platform delivers insights into both operational and financial data, which improves control over organizational processes and enhances data consistency.
Impact Award: Duke Energy
Duke Energy received the Impact Award for their participation as a Beta customer for Tax Fixed Assets. The collaboration focused on challenges they faced around reporting and analytics, and their ongoing partnership led to the development of Data Hub for TFA, ensuring all their reporting needs were met and strategic insights delivered.
Transformation Award: Berkshire Hathaway Energy
Berkshire Hathaway Energy was honored with the Transformation Award for their multi-year, multi-opco, multi-platform consolidation into a utility standard footprint of Oracle Fusion, PowerPlan, and Maximo. This transformation will provide a single platform for global operations and allow for streamlining business processes, scaling the business, and enhancing data management.
Collaborator Award: TECO Energy and Norfolk Southern
The Collaborator Award was shared by TECO Energy and Norfolk Southern. TECO Energy was recognized for their decision to move to the cloud and leverage PowerPlan's full Connect suite, accelerating the benefits of cloud and ensuring a sustainable integration model. Norfolk Southern was honored for their ongoing collaboration with PowerPlan, particularly in ensuring the Tax Fixed Assets product fits their market segment.
